When I ask you to come back you will obviously ask me where from, have I gone anywhere. I would say yes you are always away from where you should or could be.
Bear in mind when I ask you a question you don’t need to get piqued as most likely I will answer that question for you or if that is not the case you still don’t need to answer me or come up with an excuse for not answering but you are to answer it to your self not anybody else.
Do you find adrift often, you do, you have a problem then. Come back and start again and repeat the excercuse as often as and when your find yourself drifting mindlessly.
Don’t let your mind astray. Instead of herding your thoughts back home why not try not to let them leave..
If you can not control your thoughts, nobody can, should not or even try, let them fly.. But you can definitely watch them just being aware of their movements. Once you are able to do that your thoughts will also be notified that they are being watched and shadowed. Once they are aware of being shadowed they will start behaving.
Once they start behaving they will stop craving for going astray quite often and will soften their attitude.
If you can get your work done swiftly and subtly why will you even try to get it done subvertally.
